No need to pack up the car or head out of town to create unforgettable summer memories—Kidspace Museum has everything you need right here! This summer, they’re serving up a triple dose of fun, learning, and adventure with Kidspace Campout, Wired for Wonder, and The Chill Lab.

What Is Kidspace Campout Like?

Kidspace Campout turns the museum into a summertime celebration filled with all the best parts of a vacation—think road trips, camp crafts, splashy outdoor play, and long, sun-soaked days together.

From pretending to farm and run a tiny market to driving pint-sized cars and crafting your own camp flag, it’s a kid-sized wonderland where imaginations run wild and teamwork blossoms.

Plus, the cozy campfire circle is perfect for singing songs and sharing laughs — the kind of moments that make summer so special.

My kids and I also loved the conservation and ocean learning area, where interactive displays taught the kids about recycling and protecting our oceans. It sparked great conversations on the car ride home about how we can help our planet.

Why Kids Love Wired for Wonder

And then came the real showstopper: Wired for Wonder.

This exhibit is a multi-sensory maze of illusions that had all of us — kids and grown-ups — saying “No way!” at every turn.

Our favorite? The Smell-o-Phone—where you pick up a phone and sniff a different scent. Some were sweet, some downright stink-a-licious, and every one was scent-sational! The kids couldn’t stop laughing at the mystery scents.

My youngest was mesmerized by the kaleidoscope of shifting lights and magical illusions, while my oldest loved the coloring-changing maze. Wired for Wonder is part science, part art, and 100% wonder.

Chill Lab = Cool Treats + Science

And the fun doesn’t stop when the sun sets. Friday and Saturday nights come alive with The Chill Lab. Imagine tasting mysterious black ice cream flavors, savoring surprisingly savory shaved ice, and breathing “dragon clouds” with flash-frozen popcorn. It’s a delicious celebration of science that will wow the whole family and is the perfect sweet ending to a summer adventure.

STEM + Summer Fun = Kidspace Magic

Kidspace Museum’s CampoutWired for Wonder, and Chill Lab blend creativity, STEM learning, and pure, unfiltered fun like only Kidspace can. It’s the kind of place where kids can run free, use their imaginations, and learn along the way. My kids learned, played, and laughed all day, and I left feeling like the best mom ever for giving them such an amazing day.
